- Video as a first-class output, including background removal and animation, which no invitation product in this comparison offers.
- Generative AI tools that are properly licensed for commercial use, which matters more than it sounds for anything public-facing.
- It fits the wider Adobe ecosystem, so a design can move to Photoshop or Firefly when it needs to.
Choose Adobe Express when the artwork is the work: an invitation image with real typographic control, a video invitation, a poster, or anything where you want Adobe's stock and fonts. Its free plan is generous and Premium is cheaper than most design subscriptions. Choose RSVora when the invitation needs to reach a list and come back with a number. The obvious answer for many people is to design in Express and send through RSVora, which costs nothing at all if you stay on Express's free plan.

Adobe Express is excellent at producing an invitation image. It is not built to send one, and it has no opinion about what happens next.
That leaves you doing the second half by hand: posting the image into a group chat, reading the replies, remembering who said maybe, and rebuilding the count in your head every few days.
RSVora starts where Express stops. Each guest gets a private link, each reply carries a yes, no or maybe with separate counts of adults and children, the dashboard totals them, and the people who have not answered are a list you can message in one action.
It is not a better design tool and it is not trying to be. It is the machinery on the other side of the export button.

Premium at $9.99 a month adds premium templates, the full Adobe Stock library of 200 million or more assets, more than 30,000 Adobe Fonts, advanced animation and 250 generative credits a month.
The friction is the familiar one: the template you like may contain a premium asset, at which point the free plan stops being free for that design.
RSVora has nothing locked. All 1,332 designs, all fonts, all 20 opening effects and every feature are available because there is no paid tier at all.
For a lot of people the cheapest good outcome is Express Free for the artwork and RSVora for the sending, which is zero.
Video, which we do not do
Adobe Express handles video properly: templates, background removal, animation, export in the formats people actually share.
RSVora has no video at all. An invitation is a still design or an uploaded image, with an opening animation as the invitation clears the envelope.
If you want a video invitation, make it in Express and send it however you normally send video, or use one of the products that hosts video invitations directly. Do not expect to attach it to a RSVora event as the invitation itself.
Working across both
Design in Adobe Express at a portrait ratio and export a PNG at high resolution.
Create the event on RSVora and upload that file. It becomes the invitation behind the envelope.
Because RSVora detects text already present on an uploaded image, its own text layers stay switched off if your Express design already carries the date and venue. That avoids the most common problem with this workflow, which is the details appearing twice.
From there, add guests individually, import from Google Contacts on the web, or just share one link. Replies come back structured, and the first reminder is already scheduled.
A note on generative artwork
Express's generative features are metered in credits and are properly licensed, which is a real advantage over ad hoc AI image tools if the invitation will be seen widely.
RSVora has no generative tooling. Its catalogue is fixed and its studio edits what is already there.
One practical caution when generating invitation artwork anywhere: generated images often come out with words already on them, sometimes misspelled. RSVora will detect that text on upload and keep its own layers off, but it will not correct the image, so check the artwork before you send it to a hundred people.
