A headcount cap can be set for the whole event and for an individual invitation, so a hall with a fire limit stops accepting yeses when it is full, and a plus-one does not quietly become a plus-four.
A reminder is scheduled automatically when you create the event and you can retime it or add more. You can message everyone, or only the people who have not answered, which is the message that actually moves numbers.
