Where RSVora is different

When Mixily is the better choice
They genuinely do these better
- No advertising on any plan, including the free one. Mixily has been consistent about this and it deserves credit for it.
- Date polling is built in, so you can settle on a date with the group before the event exists.
- Custom RSVP questions let you ask anything you like, from dietary requirements to what someone is bringing, which is more flexible than a fixed set of fields.
- Scheduled invitations, guest messaging and a clean, fast event page with very little visual noise.
- A small, focused product with a clear point of view, which usually means fewer surprises than a large one.
Choose Mixily if you need date polling or custom RSVP questions, if your events are consistently small enough to sit inside the free caps, or if you are happy to pay $19 to $29 a month for a tool you use constantly. Choose RSVora if your guest lists are bigger than 40 replies, if you run more than two events at once, or if you simply do not want a limit to think about. Mixily's published free plan is 50 invites per event, 40 RSVPs per event, two active events at a time, and 200 emails a week. Those are honest, clearly stated numbers, which is more than most free tiers manage.
In practice the 40-RSVP cap is the one that hurts. Invite fifty people to a fortieth birthday and, at a normal reply rate, you will hit the RSVP ceiling while people are still answering. The party has not got any bigger, you have simply run out of allowance to hear from people.
The two-active-events limit is the other one that surprises hosts. A Christmas party, a New Year thing and a birthday in the same fortnight is three events, and the third one waits.
RSVora has no invite cap, no RSVP cap, no event cap and no weekly email cap. That is not a claim about which product is better designed, it is simply the difference between a freemium model with a paid tier above it and a product with no paid tier at all.
The two features Mixily has that we do not
Date polling. Mixily can ask a group which dates work before the event is pinned down. RSVora has no equivalent and no plan to fake one: you set a date and invite people to it. If your group genuinely cannot agree a date without a poll, Mixily solves that and we do not.
Custom RSVP questions. Mixily lets you ask arbitrary questions on the reply form. RSVora captures a fixed, structured reply: yes, no or maybe, plus a count of adults and a count of children, plus an optional note.
The structured approach has one advantage worth stating. Because adults and children are real numbers rather than free text in an answer field, the dashboard can total them, the headcount cap can enforce against them, and you can see at a glance that fifty-two people are coming, of whom nine are children. Free-text answers cannot be totalled.
That is a trade, not a win. Flexibility on one side, arithmetic on the other.
Design and the invitation itself
Mixily's aesthetic is deliberately minimal: a clean page, your image if you have one, and not much else. Some hosts love that and it makes for a fast, uncluttered guest page.
RSVora leans the other way. There are 1,332 designs across 22 categories, an invitation studio with fonts, movable text layers and colour control, an envelope the invitation comes out of, and 20 opening effects for that moment. All of it is free, and you can upload your own artwork instead if you prefer.
Neither approach is correct. If you want the invitation to feel like an occasion, RSVora gives you more to work with. If you want a page that gets out of the way, Mixily already is that page.
Cost over a year, honestly
If your events fit inside Mixily's free caps, Mixily costs nothing and so does RSVora, and the comparison comes down to features and taste.
If they do not fit, Mixily Lite is $19 a month and Pro is $29 a month. Run those for a year and you are at $228 or $348 for a handful of parties. That is a lot of money for invitations, and it is the reason the caps matter more than they look.
RSVora's answer is the same at every list size: nothing. There is no plan to move up to, no card stored, and no point at which the product asks you for money.
Switching between them
There is no import either way, and for an invitation there is very little to import: a title, a date, a place and some people.
The usual move is to create the event on RSVora, share the link into the same group chat, and add anyone who already replied on Mixily to the guest list manually so your headcount stays accurate.
If you are going the other way because you need date polling, do that, and come back for the events that do not need it. Both products are free at the small end and there is no reason to be loyal to one.
