What the free tier includes
A free Evite gets you a design from the free gallery, a guest list, replies and reminders. The more elaborate animated designs are reserved for Premium. It is a real product, not a demo, and a host with no budget can send a proper invitation with it — which is more than several paid-only competitors offer.

What triggers the Premium charge
Evite lists several upgrades that convert a free design into a paid Premium send. The ones hosts run into most often are:
- Removing the advertising shown to your guests.
- Removing gifting suggestions embedded in the invitation.
- Shareable links, as opposed to sending only to a list you have entered.
That last one is worth pausing on, because sharing one link into a group chat is how a lot of people actually invite people now. On Evite that is an upgrade path. On RSVora it is the default: you get a public link for the group chat and a private per-guest link for anyone you want to track individually, both free.

The important detail is that this is banded, not per-guest. One extra name can move you up a whole band. Inviting 13 people instead of 12 takes a Premium send from $17.99 to $36.99 — a 106% increase for one guest. Inviting 31 instead of 30 takes it from $36.99 to $68.99.
Hosts routinely discover this at the worst moment, which is after the guest list is settled and someone's partner needs adding.
Evite Pro
Evite Pro is the business product: a flat annual fee rather than per-send pricing, with the guest cap raised to 2,500. For an organisation sending to large lists all year, it is a coherent product and often cheaper than anything per-event. For one birthday party it is not the right shape.
What Evite is genuinely good at
It would be dishonest to write this page without saying so:
- Recognition. When an Evite lands, most American guests already know what it is and trust it. That alone lifts reply rates, and no competitor can buy it.
- Scale. Nearly three decades of operating means mature deliverability, a deep template catalogue, and infrastructure that does not fall over on a 700-person send.
- The Premium designs are good. The animated envelope reveals and card treatments are polished, and the catalogue includes licensed properties nobody else can offer.
The free, ad-free alternatives
